One day, we must return to the water
Since the economic is over-developed, natural order is being seriously damaged. We are seeing an inexorable rise in sea levels as glaciers, icecaps and the permafrost melt, ever faster. When most of the land is covered by water, it will not be appropriate for us to inhabit in the biological environment on the remaining lands.
Our survivors and successors may literally return to the sea, that original cradle of all life forms on this planet.
As a practicing artist, exploring our future metamorphosis has been my main concern for the past decade. If we examine our origins we see that our gestational cycle appears to recapitulate our evolution. Human embryos resemble ancestral fish, an idea that dates back to ancient times. This imaginary scenario may be taken as a warning.
