In an era of noise and information overload, "Transit" offers a brief journey of tranquility, as if stepping into a world far removed from worldly distractions, where the city's clamor and the pressures of time and space dissipate.
Through the works of five artists, "Transit" showcases the subtle yet inseparable connection between humanity and nature. From technological advancements to environmental changes, the pieces reveal how we seek new balances between people, or between people and nature, in a rapidly changing world. Each work is like a window, inviting us into a natural world brimming with primal energy and infinite mystery. In this age of rapid civilization and technological progress, we are once again called to examine the deeper relationship between humanity and nature.
IChin Liao
IChin Liao, a cutting-edge artist worthy of attention, was born in New Taipei City, Taiwan in 1987 and graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. It is a rare new generation of artist who can get rid of the inherent form and is full of contemporary vitality. While IChin Liao was studying in San Francisco, she was inspired by the automatism pursued in American abstract expressionist action painting. "Freedom" and "sensibility" have become the essence of her painting style. Never deliberately designing the layout of the screen or using a certain form of painting to present it, the artist no longer expresses lines and shapes only, but a record of personal intuition and emotional feelings at the moment.
Lulu Meng
LuLu Meng was born in 1982 Taipei, Taiwan. She received her bachelors degree in Drama and Theatre from National Taiwan University, and her masters degree in Imaging Arts from Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. Her work is influenced by her background in Drama and the connotations of Chinese Confucianism. She is interested in exploring both the homogeneity and heterogeneity of individuals, groups and cultures.
Ho Li
Ho Li, born in Taoyuan in 1997, graduated from the Department of painting and calligraphy at National Taiwan University of Art and is a comic and art creator. She previously created comic works under the pseudonym Detective H.Z. but decided to focus on ink painting in 2022. Her ink paintings are characterized by a delicate personal style and distorted spaces, integrating ink, modern media, and contemporary issues. River Lee’s work embodies a sense of freedom on the canvas. She believes that humans should be free, not confined to primal instincts or constrained by moral judgments of civilization. Instead, they should continuously explore and uncover the alienating shackles within civilization.
Wen-Shuang Hsieh
Wen-Shuang Hsieh, currently pursuing her Master of Fine Arts degree in the Graduate School of Fine Arts at National Taiwan University of Arts, finds inspiration in the little moments of life. She takes great pleasure in reading books and listening to music, as these activities are deeply intertwined with her artwork and serve as a wellspring of inspiration. At times, she also draws imaginative elements from movies or places she has experienced firsthand. Painting serves as a sanctuary and companion for her soul, and she has a profound understanding of the special significance it holds for her. In her artistic works, she portrays her own thoughts and everyday observations from the perspective of an observer.
Jorinde

After studying illustration in Paris for a short while, she moved to London and completed a BA(Hons) degree in Ceramics at Camberwell College of Arts (now the University of Arts, London), following in the footsteps of some of the greatest British studio potters.
