At the beginning of the new year, YIArt is pleased to announce that we will be participating in the first ONE ART TAIPEI art fair on January this year. We will be exhibiting the 1983-1992 "Color of the Third Kind" series of photographs by our acting artist Daniel Lee, the American-Chinese contemporary artist, who is highly regarded by Europe and the United States. The "Color of the Third Kind" series has a strong color contrast study with the background of the New York Gallery began to show photography, but most of them were limited to black and white works. At the time, the artist was doing this series of works and tried to use color to interpret photography, trying to transcend the documentary nature of photography and pursue a purer image language expression. In addition to the first exposure of the work "Blue Harmony" and "Iguana", in order to welcome the New Year, YIART is pleased to launch Lee's latest limited-edition sculpture "Dancer" after more than two months of rushing this work. "Dancer" pre-sale price of NT$50,000, special offer NT$38,800 during ONE ART TAIPEI 2019, limited edition 36 version and will be delivered in succession at the end of March.
In addition, we are also pleased launch a series of porcelain installations by the new generation artist Ching-Che Lin. Compared with the rich color experiment of Lee's works, Lin explores the existence and self-identity of the body with the relatively simple color of clay. Through the long-term labor and interaction between the body and the porcelain clay, in the process of digging and filling the porcelain clays, the artist's question about the emptiness or heaviness of life.
